About the event

Meet in 1-2-3 Rooms (near the cafe, use hospital's main entrance off Winne Drive) // SEE MAP

Join us at this training for the faith community about the dynamics of abusive relationships and how to support victims and survivors. Facilitated by TFC's own Eric Parsons, this free training will cover the basics of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, rape myths, strangulation, and lethality risk factors.

Many survivors may speak to clergy before they speak to police or other advocates about their abuse. The faith community and church leaders have a critical role to play in supporting those who disclose abuse and assault, and this training is designed to equip them to help and empower survivors. All who attend are invited to participate in a way that will make the training feel most relevant and worthwhile for them and their congregations.
