Following seven years as Development Director, Patterson brings deep qualifications and commitment to the agency's mission of ensuring high quality services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
(HELENA, Mont., July 8, 2026) – The Friendship Center (TFC) Board of Directors announced that Kim Patterson has been selected as its new Executive Director. Patterson brings extensive experience with the agency to the new role, having served as Development Director since 2019 and as Interim Executive Director since June 2026.
“We are delighted that Kim has accepted our offer to lead The Friendship Center into its next phase. Kim brings a passion for serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and is a knowledgeable and trusted voice among our partners and supporters,” said board chair Katie Loveland.
In her time with the agency, Patterson has been critical in stewarding key community partnerships, building a deeply invested base of support for TFC's mission within and beyond Helena, and expanding the agency's ability to provide services and meet diverse client needs.
In her tenure as Development Director, Patterson has helped oversee a growth by 139% in TFC's operating revenue, ensuring the agency has the sustainable resources needed to provide high quality services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
"It is an honor to be selected as Executive Director of The Friendship Center. Over the past seven years, I've witnessed the resilience of survivors, the dedication of our staff, and the generosity of this community, and I am humbled to serve our mission in this new capacity,” said Patterson.
Patterson succeeds Gina Boesdorfer, who announced her departure from the organization in May 2026 after more than 10 years with the agency and nearly 20 years in the victim advocacy field overall.
